Aircraft owners and aviation businesses

Aviation cover for the way you fly.

Specialist aviation insurance. We help you arrange cover around your aircraft and how you use it

AVIATION INSURANCE SHOULD REFLECT HOW YOU USE YOUR AIRCRAFT

An aircraft used for private travel has different insurance needs from one used for charter flights or agricultural work. Cover should reflect the aircraft and how you actually use it.

Aviation insurance can include cover for loss of or damage to the aircraft, as well as liability to passengers and third parties. However, the cover available depends on the insurer’s terms and on the operation you want to insure.

Inscorp assists aircraft owners and aviation-related businesses with access to specialist insurance markets. First, we take time to understand your operation. Then we help you review the proposed cover, exclusions and conditions before you decide.

AVIATION INSURANCE SOLUTIONS

The cover you need depends on your aircraft and the work it does. For that reason, the options below are a starting point for discussion. We then consider each one against your operation and the insurer’s policy wording.

AIRCRAFT HULL & HULL WAR RISK

Aircraft hull insurance provides cover for loss of or damage to the aircraft, subject to the policy wording. Hull War Risk is a separate cover, so you should consider it alongside hull insurance. We then help you review the insured value, excess and terms of each cover.

THIRD-PARTY & PASSENGER LIABILITY

Cover for legal liability to third parties and passengers arising from the operation of your aircraft, subject to the policy wording. We then help you review the liability limits and conditions against how you use your aircraft.

AIRPORT OWNERS & OPERATORS LIABILITY

Liability cover for airport owners and operators, subject to the activities and responsibilities the insurer accepts. We help you present your operation to the specialist market, and then we review the proposed limits, terms and exclusions with you.

CREW PERSONAL ACCIDENT

Personal accident cover for crew while flying, subject to the policy wording. First, we help you confirm which crew members the policy covers. Then we review the benefits, limits and conditions that apply.

PILOT EXCESS & ADDITIONAL HULL OPTIONS

Options include Pilot Excess Cover, Hull Deductible cover and No Claim Bonus Protection. Insurers offer Hull Deductible and No Claim Bonus Protection in support of hull insurance. We then help you review each option’s purpose, terms and suitability.

DRONE INSURANCE

Insurance options for drones, subject to the insurer’s acceptance and policy wording. First, we discuss your drone, how and where you use it, and the cover you need. Then we approach the specialist market.

KEEP COVER IN STEP WITH YOUR AVIATION OPERATIONS

A change in how you use your aircraft may affect your insurance. Therefore, speak to us before the change takes effect, so we can review the arrangements with the insurer.

In particular, let us know when you plan to:

● Buy, sell or replace an aircraft
● Change its use, including charter or agricultural operations
● Add pilots or change who may fly
● Fly outside the policy’s geographical limits
● Lease the aircraft or change the operating arrangements
● Accept new contractual responsibilities

The insurer must agree to any change in cover. For that reason, contact us beforehand, so you understand what the insurer has accepted and which conditions apply.
